We are made of Star Stuff
 Carl Sagan

“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of star-stuff.”

In the early 1980s, astronomer Carl Sagan hosted a show ''Cosmos'' that aired on PBS. In this series, Carl Sagan explains about the solar system, stars, galaxies and Earth history. In one episode, while explaining the earth history, he stated that ''we are made of star-stuff''.

This sentence changes the concept of humans that are living on the earth. The earth is a part of the solar system and connected to the whole universe through the matters it contains. The matters in the universe are similar to those that are present in all living organism on earth.
